Category of Candidates for Tamil Nadu TET 2014 :

  • a. The Secondary Grade Teachers / Graduate Teachers appointed with the prescribed qualifications in Government, Government Aided and Un-aided Schools on or after 23rd August, 2010. But exemption will be granted to persons whose appointment process initiated prior to NCTE notification dated: 23.08.2010.

TN TET 2014 Exam pattern, Syllabus and Scheme:

TN TET Syllabus consists of two objective type question papers. Each paper will consist of 150 MCQs and each question carries 1 marks totaling for 150 marks. Following are the details of question papers :

  1. Paper I Syllabus: To become teachers for classes I-V in Tamil Nadu primary school.

  • (a) The candidates belonging to SC / ST / C-I, differently abled persons should secure a minimum of 55% will be eligible etc., in accordance with their extent reservation policy.

APPLICABILITY

  • The KARTET shall apply to schools of the Karnataka Government. Schools owned and managed by the State Government / local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government.

VALIDITY PERIOD OF KARTET CERTIFICATE:

  • The Validity Period of KARTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a KARTET Certificate. A person who has qualified KARTET may also appear again for improving his / her score.

ELIGIBILITY

The following persons are eligible for appearing in the KARTET. Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage – Paper – I

  • PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
  • OR PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI- VIII: Elementary Stage – Paper – II

  • B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
  • OR B.A / B.Sc Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I – VIII : Elementary Stage – Paper – I and II

  • PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

NOTE:

  • 1) Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC / ST / C-I / Differently abled.
  • (ii) Diploma/Degree Course in Teacher Education: For the purposes of this Notification, a Diploma/Degree course in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.ED (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.
  • (iii) Training to be undergone: A person with D.Ed (Special Education) or qualification shall undergo, after appointment an NCTE recognized 6-month Special Programme in Elementary Education.
  • (iv) The minimum qualifications referred above apply to teachers of Languages, Social Studies / Social Science, Mathematics, Science etc. In respect of teachers for Physical Education, the minimum qualification norms for Physical Education teachers referred to in NCTE Regulation, dated 3rd November, 2001 (as amended from time to time) shall be applicable. For teachers of Art
  • Education, Craft Education, Home Science, Work Education, etc. the existing eligibility norms prescribed by the State Governments and other school managements shall be applicable till such time the NCTE lays down the minimum qualifications in respect of such teachers.
  • (v) Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are provisionally admitted and their KAR-TET Certificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations.
  • (vi) The candidate not having any of the above qualification shall not be eligible for appearing in Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test.

Karnataka TET Exam pattern:

There are two papers. One for the primary and the other for the secondary. The primary paper has five parts each having thirty marks of MCQs. The secondary paper has three parts consisting of thirty marks and two parts having sixty marks each. So the total of both the papers are 150 each. The pass percentage in the exam is sixty. But the cut off is relaxed in the case of SC/ST and other backward classes.

STRUCTURE AND CONTENT OF KARTET

All questions in KARTET test will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.

There will be two papers of KARTET

  • (i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
  • (ii)Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

    Candidates should have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45 percent marks. Those appearing in final 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible. OR Candidates with BA / B.Sc. with at least 50 percent marks and B.Ed qualification can also apply.
  2. Bihar TET (BETET) Qualification Teachers of Classes VI-VIII (Paper II) 2014 : Applicants having B.A. / B.Sc and those appearing in final 2 year D.Ed. / B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 45 percent marks and passed / appearing in B.Ed / Senior Secondary with at least 50 percent marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. The APTET examination has two categories:

The first one is for people who want to be teachers for the primary section that is from classes one to five.

The second is for people who want to teach the secondary section that is from classes 6 to eight. These candidates are also named as academic facilitators.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
The candidate at the time of applying for APTET  should be having the minimum qualifications prescribed for a teacher for category I to V classes (Paper – I)  and VI to VIII classes (paper-II) as given below or should be pursuing Teacher Education Course during 2012-13 or earlier.

 Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V: for candidates already in
possession of Respective Teacher Education Certificates or pursuing final year of respective Teacher Education Course :
Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education

Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

*Note: 1 Relaxation of 5% or such percentage as permitted by Govt. at the time of

2. If the candidates has not secured the requisite % of marks in Bachelor’s Degree (B.A / B.Sc. / B.Com / but secured in Post Graduate Degree in relevant school subject she/he will be eligible for applying for Paper-II. The 6 above relaxation of 5% or the percentage permitted by Government is also  applicable in this regard as well for candidates belonging to SC /ST / BC / Difficulty abled candidates.

Central Teachers Eligibility Test CTET 2014 is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE every year.This is an all India level exam conducted to the candidates aspire to be a teacher in 1st to 8th class. The next exam for CTET will be on  21th September 2014

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
  •  Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.
  •  Note:
(i) Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.
(ii) Diploma/Degree Course in Teacher Education: For the purposes of this Notification, a Diploma/Degree course in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.ED (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.
(iii) Training to be undergone: A person with D.Ed (Special Education) or qualification shall undergo, after appointment an NCTE recognized 6-month Special Programme in Elementary Education.
(iv) The minimum qualifications referred above apply to teachers of Languages, Social Studies/Social Science, Mathematics, Science etc. In respect of teachers for Physical Education, the minimum qualification norms for Physical Education teachers referred to in NCTE Regulation, dated 3rd November, 2001 (as amended from time to time) shall be applicable. For teachers of Art Education, Craft Education, Home Science, Work Education, etc. the existing eligibility norms prescribed by the State Governments and other school managements shall be applicable till such time the NCTE lays down the minimum qualifications in respect of such teachers.
(v) Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are provisionally admitted and their CTET Certificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations.
(vi) The candidate not having any of the above qualification shall not be eligible for appearing in Central Teacher Eligibility Test.
Validity Of CTET Certificate
CTET Certificate will be Valid for the period of seven years from the date of announcement of results.
No restriction for further Application of CTET exam.
Qualifying Marks of CTET 2014
 
60% and above will be qualifying marks for CTET exam. Reservation may be applicable according to School managements.

SC/ST/Diff. Abled Person Only Paper – I or II Rs.250/- Both Paper( I & II) Rs.400/-
Service Charges & Service Taxes (as applicable) will be charged extra by the Bank or Post Office
The fee can be remitted in the following ways:
Through Computer generated Challan by depositing the prescribed fees in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank or e-Post Office in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.
By Debit/Credit Card.
